As a Database Technician you will be a member of the Operation Centre team in Vasteras, supporting delivery of Hitachi EMS/DMS/SCADA systems and applications globally. Your duties will include configuring systems using Network Control approved product implementation standards, as well as acquiring working knowledge of regional market needs and helping drive standardization in the delivery process.

Your responsibilities

  • You will provide technical and/or business assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing customer data models.
  • Use database documentation, including product data standards and procedures to import and export customer data.
  • You will develop, coordinate, and implement plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing, create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures,
  • You will provide problem solving, technical, and business expertise in the design, testing, and deployment of business applications,
  • Upgrade of customer RDBMS databases, which includes customization, quality assurance, and development to suit customer needs.
  • Required national and international traveling in some situations.

Your background

  • You hold bachelor's degree B. S., four year’s college or university in computer science, information sciences or a related field.
  • You hold thorough understanding of RDBMS, especially Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of Oracle development environment SQL, PL, or SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, UNIX shell scripting.
  • Data modelling and validation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel.
  • Secure procurement with security agreements - SUA.
  • Require background check by SÄPO, Swedish security police.
  • Preferrable located in Sweden and additionally French speaking.
