You will help shape the news and information flow within Volvo Cars and to consumers and external stakeholders driving strategic alignment internally, brand awareness and engagement and ultimately supporting the growth of the business.  The position is temporary for at least one year since we have a co-worker going on parental leave.  What you’ll do The role as communication expert is focused on implementing the company’s communication strategy, working with departments and stakeholders to identify key information and news that will deliver towards our objectives. Creativity in the tactical execution of the strategy is highly valued as each deliverable becomes stronger through it. A communication expert or is part of defined communications projects from start to finish with delivery focus. The communication expert in product & technology further supports the public relations team on media relations - assessing and supporting interview requests and opportunities for Volvo spokespeople, helping coordinate media engagement for global projects such as test drives and car reveals and listens in on interviews with spokespeople and assisting them when necessary.   What you’ll bring We are looking for a social, passionate and creative communications professional with a proven track record in developing and delivering engaging and motivating communication strategies. You will have extensive experience in PR or journalism and a demonstratable ability to utilise different channels to deliver the desired business outcome. You thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment and are at ease adapting to change. You combine your natural interest in creating innovative communication strategies with an ability to always find the right channel for every story. BA / BSc in communication, journalism or equivalent experience. A strategic, analytical and creative approach to communication planning, with an ability to manage a range of projects, balancing quality and speed.Exceptional communication skills and fluent English: verbal, written, interpersonal and inter-departmental. A natural collaborator with a strong ability to build good working relationships with stakeholders and internal colleagues A self-starter who is able to work independently and drive results. The ability to bring clarity to complex situations and interpret in-depth business and technology messaging in a consumer-friendly way.
