Scania is currently transforming from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to being a provider of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Our group

Consisting of 10 individuals, we are responsible for the consolidation and operational control of Scania's global production as well as performing controlling functions for production units in Sweden and Europe.

The department supports and challenges the operational activities regarding inventory transactions and communicates with managers. We work daily to increase quality and efficiency by standardizing and creating visual processes in our department.

What is your responsibility?

As a controller, you are responsible for the material accounting of one of our production units. In this role, you compile the monthly results, analyze the outcomes, and communicate them to the business. Specifically for this position, you will work with a production unit where we are responsible for the material costs and inventory. Initially, the focus will be on integrating material accounting and harmonizing processes with other production units within the group's responsibility area.

The position also involves extensive interaction with employees, R&D, logistics, IT, and purchasing.

Your tasks

  • Participate in the closing process, using and developing control methods for monitoring material costs and inventory
  • Regular material accounting, report, analysis, and challenge inventory levels for production
  • Work with ongoing accounting
  • Systematically improve the department's processes,

What are we looking for

We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics. You probably have 3-5 years of relevant work experience in controlling/accounting. You are a proficient user of Microsoft Excel and are fluent in both spoken and written Swedish and English. You have experience with a major financial system, experience with Oracle eBS and Mona is a plus.

As a person, you are driven and have the ambition to understand and challenge the business's material costs and inventory balances. You are independent, analytical, and solution-oriented and can make the complex simple and understandable. You also can drive issues and process improvement. At the same time, you also see the big picture from a helicopter perspective. The ability to create structure and order will be a key factor in succeeding in this role.
