The Product Manager reports to the Head of Product team and is part of the Product team – inside R&D department.

Key responsibilities

The Product Manager is responsible for development of the hardware product lines (and individual products) at Profoto (including supporting products).

This role collaborates tightly with relevant roles in Project management, Product marketing and Product sales.

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following areas of activities:

• Market research and analysis

• Product strategy development

• Product specification and design oversight

• Prototype development and testing

• Cross-functional and cross-department team work

• Partner management

• Being stakeholder in financial planning and product pricing strategies

• Being stakeholder in defining go-to-market strategy and launch planning

• Post-launch product management

• Collecting and analysing customer feedback

Requirements

• MSc degree or similar

• Minimum 5 years of R&D project and/or product management

• Relevant experience from product development

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

• Ability to understand product system dependencies and lead and coordinate different projects to deliver a working system solution

• Excellent teamwork skills

• Strong drive

• At least basic understanding of photographic workflow and methods

• Analytical, full of ideas, open, target oriented

• Strategic perspective

• Must be able to travel
