Where you’ll belong We are looking for a Testing Technology Engineer with good skills in metrology and network.to join our Testing Technology & Metrology team within R&D at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg. At Testing Technology & Metrology we establish and develop relationships with test engineers with almost all system areas of the vehicle as well as building as well as building an understanding of the technology within those areas. We provide metrology expertise, solutions for testing, lending of instrumentation, design and service of development tools and solutions for testing departments.  What you’ll do Your role involves supporting our R&D team and customers in using measurement and testing tools for electrical vehicles, focusing on fault tracing and method development. You'll collaborate closely with test engineers across departments and use tools like INCA and Vector, as well as communication protocols such as Ethernet and CAN. As part of a team of 20 Technology Engineers, you'll share knowledge, build networks, and have opportunities for skill development. Your role offers dynamic involvement in a growing field, with scope to shape your work and enhance technical expertise. You and your skills We're seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree or higher in fields like Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or similar areas, along with technical support experience and familiarity with metrology tools. Knowledge of calibration and quality standards is a plus, as is a genuine interest in technology and automotive know-how. Having a driver's license (B) would also be advantageous. On a personal level, we're looking for individuals with integrity, professionalism, and a collaborative spirit. Excellent communication skills, a performance-driven attitude, and the ability to think conceptually are essential for success in this role.
