Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Exterior Surface Modeler to join our dynamic team

What You Will Work On:

• Create precise exterior surface models utilizing software such as Alias, ICEMSurf, Blender, and/or Maya.
• Collaborate closely with Designers and Studio Engineers to integrate technical constraints and design intent into digital models.
• Ensure timely delivery of surface models, adjusting detail levels to align with the progress of the design.

What You Bring:

• Relevant education in automotive design or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in surface modeling within the automotive industry, demonstrating proficiency at Level 3 according to VCC generic competencies for “delivering excellence in execution.”
• Bonus: Proficiency in polygon modeling skills.
• Basic proficiency in CATIA software.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.

Experience:

• Ability to work independently while maintaining effective dialogue with team members and project teams.
• Understanding of how part shape influences appearance.
• Demonstrated experience in interpreting design sketches and translating them into detailed 3D models.
• Skill in estimating, communicating, and adjusting detail levels to meet digital modeling requirements.
• Experience in modeling complete exteriors during conceptual phases.
• Familiarity with technical and legal constraints in automotive design.
