Procurement at Scania
We’re responsible for the global procurement of parts and components – both for new development and those running in production, as well as spare parts and non-automotive products and services. In Sweden we’re close to 600 people from a range of backgrounds who draw on our different competencies and perspectives to achieve our common goal – building innovative and resilient supply chain solutions.
Here you’ll do work that is both technical and commercial in an environment that is diverse, fast-paced and global – offering a challenging, stimulating and developing work environment. The role
As a strategic purchaser at Scania, you’ll be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies that promote the correct balance between our procurement value drivers – technology, quality, delivery, cost and sustainability. Your work will include both strategic and practical aspects, from negotiation meetings and driving improvements in your segment to defining the global strategy in alignment with your global counterparts. You’ll play a central role in building and maintaining long-term relationships with our suppliers and optimizing the procurement process – all together with colleagues who value collaboration and great team spirit.

Your profile
We think you’re a procurement professional with extensive experience in strategic sourcing who thrive in an environment where flexibility and self-leadership is important. Exceptional negotiation and analytical skills, along with in-depth knowledge of purchasing processes are keys to succeed and being communicative and enjoying building relationships with global suppliers and colleagues is equally important. A relevant university education in economics or a background in engineering or equivalent will be helpful for the technical aspects of the role.
