Trim & Glass Systems – Let’s introduce ourselves!  The Department Side & Roof within the Vehicle Platform Unit at Engineering needs talented people on board. People with passion, energy, business sense and the drive to innovate and make things happen. This may be an excellent opportunity for you to take on a new challenge! We are looking for an engaged team member to the Trim & Glass group.  The group Trim & Glass Systems is responsible for the development of all glass around the car as well as cappings, rails, antenna cover and lidar cover. The parts that the group is responsible for are developed at Volvo Cars, so-called build to print and development work is performed in close cooperation with procurement, manufacturing engineering, suppliers and other stakeholders at Volvo Cars. Apart from car parts, the group is also responsible for direct glazing, i.e. the adhesives that are used to bond our parts to the car.  What you will do  Within Trim & Glass we are working with strategies, pre-development, concept development, product design and operational development. As many of our parts are chemically bonded to the car body, we have the responsibility for the adhesives that we use in terms of technical solution and cost. We are now looking for a Lead Engineer Direct Glazing to take the ownership of the adhesives used for our parts.  This role will also involve:   * Keeping track of time plans, deliverables, engineering reporting system and issue management * Keeping a good dialogue with procurement, suppliers, manufacturing engineering, attributes and others in a cross functional environment  Work with our technical regulations You will be involved in early phases and concept discussions and in running production changes. You will be deeply involved in dialogues with our global production sites and manufacturing engineering, finding the best engineering solutions. For this you will have full support from adhesive experts within the company as well as from glass and plastic experts within Trim & Glass.  What you will bring  You are a structured, organized and solution-oriented engineer with a genuine interest in technology and with the ability to drive tasks towards goals. You possess strong communication skills and are eager to work in cross-functional teams, collaborating with others. You also have a very good sense of responsibility, and you are not afraid of working in a fast changing and very challenging environment. You are also a go-to person who gladly shares your knowledge and enjoys helping your colleagues to success.  To thrive in this role, we also believe you:   * Hold a M.Sc., Bachelor of Science in materials engineering, polymer chemistry or equivalent based on work experience * Have worked at least a few years with adhesives and product development * Have a few years experience in advanced engineering projects, standardization work, adhesive supplier contacts as well as cooperation with manufacturing engineering and production  How to apply and connect  Is this you?
