Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Chassis Installation Development

The section ”Chassis Layout and Installation” is responsible for the development and/or installation of components assembly on the chassis for trucks with conventional combustion engine and full electric vehicles.

Scania is under a transformation with more focus on speed, flexibility and flow. To manage that the company organise the development work in an agile set up. The journey has started and we need leaders to secure that the transformation goes as smooth as possible. One key role to make it happened is the scrum master and perhaps you are the perfect match for this role.

Our team

The group consist of 15 Design Engineers, two product owners, two scrum masters and one Group Manager. We are proud of that we gain from a mixture of different work experiences, nationalities, genders, and ages within the group. Your assignment

As a scrum master you will be leading the cross functional agile teams, with the focus on coaching the teams in agile methods, and continuously handling the teams capacity, ability, and planning. You will also manage risks and obstacles to secure the output from the team.

The aim is to build cross functional autonomous team that can handle most of their work by themself and the scrum master will have a vital role to secure that. The role and process is not 100% set within team and section, so you will also have the possibility to contribute to the new way of working.

Your profile

We are looking for a person that is delivery focused, value teamwork and openness. You should also be flexible, prestige less, humble and have a clear communication style. You should have the ability to set up a structure for yourself and the team and act quickly when reprioritization or replanning is needed. The work could also include some design development work.

We would also like that..

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or materials engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • You have worked at least 2 years as a development engineer within product development, preferably within the heavy truck industry.
  • It is meriting if you have worked as a scrum master or project manager in an R&D context before.
  • You write and speak fluently in English. If you write and speak fluently in Swedish, it is a merit.
  • It is also highly meriting if you have experience from working at Scania.
