In Supply Chain Operations (SCO) we lead, plan, and execute the supply ​of IKEA products ​between suppliers ​and retailers. We do this together with our ~1000 coworkers, from 16 locations around the world, by leading the tactical and operational planning, securing optimal replenishment, sourcing and development of transport and logistics capacities, and managing the goods the flow.

In Category Food Logistics Services, we source, procure, and operate cold chain transportation, warehousing, and logistics services for IKEA Food. Our ~100 coworkers work closely with cold chain logistics Service Providers, Retailers, and other stakeholders across the IKEA value chain, making sure our IKEA food products are available in the IKEA stores, all around the world.

Job Description

As Business Development Manager you will lead a team responsible to secure and develop cold chain logistics capacities in Europe.

Your assignment as Business Development Manager includes:

• Lead and develop a team responsible to both develop the business and run the daily operations.
• Establish and develop long-term relationships with selected Service Providers based on IKEA Way of doing business, a shared business model, IKEA values, trust, and transparency.
• Contribute to the optimization of the overall IKEA value chain to create better food logistics services at lower total costs, considering impact of quality, safety, service performance, sustainability, and other supply chain costs, to reach more of the many people.
• Secure business objectives according to IKEA strategic plans and Category action plans
• Implement and secure compliance with relevant working methods and industry regulations.
• Leads in the way that IKEA culture and values are an everyday reality. Acts as role model for collaboration, togetherness and change management.

Qualifications

You may be the person we are looking for if:

• You have solid experience in sourcing and/or developing logistics and/or supply chain services in a global organisation.
• Preferably have worked before with food logistics and have a good understanding of the specifics of the cold chain industry.
• You are a self-starter, able to lead and function with remote leadership.
• You are a global citizen, able to work and lead across cultures.
• Have hands on experience in leading and driving change.
• You can build strong collaborations and partnerships both internally and externally.
• You are passioned about and have experience in developing people and teams.
• You have a positive mind-set, are open and flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• You are fluent in English.

Candidates with previous experience in food logistics and in leading teams will be prioritized.
