Could you be the full-time Methods and Tools Engineer focused on predictive maintenance based in Göteborg we’re looking for?

Your future role

Get onboard and apply your expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Maria Lindström (RSM Engineering Manager), and work alongside collaborative and driven teammates

In your role you will implement Alstom’s tools for increasing train reliability,

condition monitoring and predictive maintenance in our rolling stock maintenance (RSM) projects all over Sweden. You will in collaboration with our maintenance teams optimize way of work to fit the prerequisites of the various projects as well as act as the first line support for the applied tools.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Introduce and follow-up Reliability-related processes, tools, and ways-of-working that assure effective management and structured data input in the projects (including training material and training programs).
  • Lead the work on program level to initiate needs of improvement and modification to assets and contribute to continuous improvement in the areas of Reliability, Maintainability and Availability, and improved methods.
  • First line support on Train Health Management tools and real time data connection with Alstom’s central data solutions team as back office.
  • Transfer of REX and good practices between projects, with Alstom central data solutions team and available global processes.
  • Introduce tools and methods for Train Health Management, Condition based maintenance, predictive maintenance and real time asset monitoring systems in projects. Contribute to effective asset management, value preservation and to making Alstom excel within the area of prognostic health management and digital maintenance.
  • Further develop and maintain a common landscape with Reliability reporting and dashboards that enables and simplifies effective comparison and cooperation in and between all RSM projects within the Region (execution of recurring analysis and reporting activities lies with local engineering project teams).
  • Contribute to bid and tender efforts with input regarding possible achievement in terms of Reliability.

  • Masters’s degree in engineering (electromechanical, data science, electrical, mechanical…) or equivalent experience
  • Fluent English
  • Knowledge and understanding in the RAM field from all product life cycle stages
  • Understanding of Tool architecture & infrastructure in order to interface with IS&T
  • Experienced in Methodologies definition for Engineering and Project Offices
  • Knowledge of General Railway Businesses
  • Knowledge of Engineering Design & Project WoW
