Environmental Health and IMDS - let’s introduce ourselves  - The purpose of IMDS (International material Data System) is to secure legal requirements within the area of substance management and recyclability.  The Environmental Health and IMDS group are the experts and have deep understanding of how materials, pollutions and substances impact the health and wellbeing of our customers and the environment. The IMDS team secure that we use correct data in our reports both internal and external. The team heavily rely on IT-tools, many of them developed by the team and some developed by Digital. The increasing interest in material data and what it can be used for has led to a high focus both within Engineering as well as from Global Sustainability and other stakeholders within Volvo Cars.  What you’ll do  As a member of the IMDS team, you'll have specialized tasks tailored to your role while also sharing responsibility for supporting team deliveries. Working closely with the Engineering Manager (EM), you'll jointly lead the team to meet current and future needs. You will be the main speaking partner towards stakeholders around Volvo Cars and maintain close communication with Digital to get support for our needs.    Areas of responsibilities * Together with the Engineering Manager, lead work with Strategy and Roadmap to drive the development of the area forward.   * Drive technical development in the teams by combining a deep technical knowledge with the ability to motivate and educate.   * Lead the work in defining needs of new tools, methods & process development for IMDS.  * Lead the teams in performing analysis & legal reporting and give guidance in difficult issues.  * Contact with stakeholders within and outside the department and help the team in prioritizing incoming tasks when needed.  What you‘ll bring  We're looking for someone who thrives on supporting and educating others, finding motivation in the growth and development of their colleagues and also possesses a driving force in their approach to tasks. Your outgoing nature fosters positive interactions within the team, creating an environment where collaboration thrives.  Education and Skills  * You have a university degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience.   * You have 5+ years of experience from working in product development.  * You are familiar with the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and how procurement and suppliers are involved.  * Your English is fluent (written and spoken).
