CAE & HV Systems - let’s introduce ourselves The HV System team acts as a bridge between complete vehicle and component owners (mainly within Propulsion & Energy) by balancing and coordinating high level requirements and attributes on sub-system level. The work can therefore be both on holistic levels and at the same time with a clear focus on technical details. We own the Propulsion HV System and have the systems engineering view in discussions around, amongst others, charging standards, power electronics and control solutions, system safety and EMI compliance. What You’ll do The High Voltage System Engineer role at Volvo Cars encompasses a wide range of responsibilities related to High Voltage systems, requiring collaboration across multiple internal departments. As a lead member in the team, you will take on the responsibility of overseeing various verification processes within High Voltage systems. This includes tasks such as defining quality assurance objectives, developing comprehensive test plans, interacting with internal teams, and coordinating the testing process from start to finish. Your main responsibilities * Lead the verification process for high voltage system requirements, ensuring thorough testing and validation. * Possess a strong test and verification mindset, with the ability to initiate and conduct system verification tests. * Collaborate effectively with testers and testing teams within the company to ensure comprehensive testing coverage. * Utilize HV system engineering experience to investigate the system impact of technology choices. * Able to conduct investigations individually with external stakeholders or collaboratively within the team. * Provide expertise in high voltage requirements testing, contributing to the overall success of the team's deliveries. What you‘ll bring As a person, you thrive in collaborative environments and are an excellent communicator, able to clearly communicate your ideas and insights to others. You have a proactive approach and consistently take initiative to drive development forward. You are structured and have the ability to develop clear and structured plans to drive projects forward and effectively communicate them to others. Education and Skills * BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Power engineering or similar, or equivalent expertise. * Experience in requirements verification testing, preferably within Volvo Cars * Basic understanding of the automotive HV System and its requirements ​​​​​​​
