Process Engineer Opportunity

In the role of Process Engineer, you will be instrumental in optimizing and overseeing various stages of steel production. This includes analyzing production processes, pinpointing improvement areas, and implementing solutions to boost performance.

As a Process Engineer, you will work closely with departments such as metallurgy, maintenance, and operations to streamline production workflows. Your tasks will involve monitoring equipment performance, diagnosing issues, and enacting preventive maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and enhance production efficiency.

We are seeking Process Engineers specialized in:

• Electric Arc Furnace (EAF)
• Hot Rolling Mill
• Cold Rolling Mill
• Galvanizing Line

Responsibilities:

• Upholding the Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality programs.
• Collaborating with the production manager to develop training programs that ensure employee integrity, competence, and an effective Quality Management System.
• Overseeing departmental organization and managing change.
• Enforcing policies, procedures, and activities that align with company goals and objectives.
• Ensuring the maintenance of departmental operations and facilities to uphold asset integrity.
• Assisting the Leadership Team in developing and maintaining a departmental operating budget that meets business objectives.

Qualifications:

• A relevant engineering degree or demonstrable experience in the field.
• A strong emphasis on safety, with a proactive approach to implementing it within a team environment.
• An eye for quality and detail, excellent problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A highly motivated, self-directed, hands-on approach, and readiness to work additional hours or provide on-call support.
• Significant experience in the specified process area.
• Familiarity with SMS equipment is preferred.
• Experience with startups and/or greenfield projects is highly regarded.
