With a total of approximately 90 individuals across six distinct groups, Product Documentation is at the forefront of managing releases for models, drawings, parts, and product numbers within the Volvo Car Group, collaborating closely with engineering and car projects across the company. What you'll do As the Department Manager of Product Documentation, you'll report directly to the Head of Engineering Office and become an integral part of the management team. The Engineering Office is dedicated to driving cross-functional synergies, continuous improvements, and owning key cross-functional areas. Your role entails overseeing the various groups within the Product Documentation department, each responsible for specific aspects of release management, such as software, vehicle parts, engineering standards, and external collaboration. Drawing on your extensive managerial experience within Volvo Cars and a robust network within Engineering, you'll guide your team in navigating the complexities of the engineering design and release process, ensuring adherence to standards and fostering global collaboration. Fluent in English, you'll serve as a strategic leader, setting clear directions, fostering a culture of excellence, and championing the importance of people development and team building. Who you are We're seeking a dynamic leader with a Master of Science or equivalent work-life experience, coupled with technical expertise in Engineering Design & Release processes and connected systems. Your track record should demonstrate managerial experience, including leading leaders, and successful collaboration within a global x-brand environment. Beyond technical prowess, you possess exceptional interpersonal skills, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to motivate and challenge your team to excel.
