Working as a Global Supply Chain Manager (SCM) for Business Line Metals you will report to the Global Operations Manager of the Business Line (BL) Metals, be part of the Process Industries Division SCM Management Team, and will be responsible for driving the BL SCM strategy and initiatives globally and locally for Metallurgy team in Sweden, Västerås.

This position reports to BL Operations Manager, Metals.

Your responsibilities

• Develop and implement Global BL Procurement strategy including supplier portfolio
• Develop, drive and implement BL specific SCM initiatives and improvements. Set targets and drive BL specific programs in relevant countries
• Manage key supply base performance and development in co-operation with other BLs, local SCM, Division SCM leaders, Global Supplier Quality and Global Category teams
• Monitor local SCM performance & development and provide feedback and advise corrective actions in supply categories
• Provide support and leadership and define sourcing set up for key/strategic Business Line (BL) projects in collaboration with local SCM during sales phase and execution
• Implement BL SCM strategy and initiatives locally in Metallurgy business unit in Sweden and support Metallurgy team directly by leading local SCM strategic initiatives
• Drive and ensure ABB policies of "License to Operate" in the countries and establish good internal audit controls
• Represent BL in the Global PAPI SCM leadership team

Your background

• A Bachelor's degree in Management, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in supply chain management including five years in the field of global sourcing for direct materials and services for industrial solutions
• Demonstrated ability to work within a multicultural and international environment with standard operating procedures
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, fluency in Swedish is a plus
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skill
• Additional languages and understanding of Trade Compliance regulation (TC) is an advantage
