We are on an exciting journey within e-Health and need to strengthen our team with a senior Backend Developer who shares our vision of care, free from administration. The development of Webdoc EU began in the spring of 2021 and has a clear mission to become a complete record system for healthcare providers in Europe. Currently, the product has users in the UK, with a plan to be present throughout Europe in the future. About the role As a Senior Backend Developer, you will work with the new development of Carasent's web-based journal system Webdoc EU, a product that contributes to more efficient and safe healthcare. You will mainly program in Kotlin (Java-based) and work with the development of cloud-based products and systems, in order to build solutions together with experts in other parts of the stack. Advanced knowledge of and experience with working with relational databases is especially valuable for this position. Since patient safety is central to our products and we therefore handle very sensitive data, you need to value meeting requirements for high quality and operational reliability. You will be a part of one of two cross-functional teams that collaborate closely with each other. We higly value collaboration, building quality in, continuous improvement and fast feedback loops in line with DevOps, Lean and agile principles. Therefore, one of the goals for us is to enable a Continuous Integration and Delivery workflow through continually improving our automation, practices and culture. Your profile We believe you have a few years of work experience of working with object-oriented programming languages, preferrably Java or Kotlin. You have experience working with development in larger systems, as well as writing automated test for the code you build. You are familiar with basic practices and concepts for building maintainable, testable and readable architecture and code. However, we are convinced that experience can to some extent be achieved by curiosity and willingness to learn.
