About the role: You will play an important part in enabling our R&D organization to support them with different services that you are responsible for. In the enterprise architect role, you will stay up to date with the latest and future relevant technological trends and apply these to Volvo’s digital projects. You will ensure the teams and organizations IT strategy is aligned with business goals. You will analyze and define business needs and the external environment. Within Data and solution platforms, you will be part of a global and diverse team of highly skilled professionals, enabling Digital Smart Services to support Vehicle Research & Development, we learn continuously and embrace change to stay ahead. Main Responsibilities: As an enterprise architect you will collaborate and work closely with stakeholders, Digital project Managers (DPMs) and Subject matter experts (SMEs) to implement and develop strategy, processes, and IT assets in the organization. Here are some key tasks: * Full scope responsible for Enterprise Architecture and focus on Business Architecture: Creating and maintaining the overall architecture for the enterprise, including business, data, application, and technology aspects. * Participate in business strategy development and translate business strategy into roadmaps and target maps. * Aligning IT Strategy with Business Goals: Ensuring that the IT strategy and initiatives are in line with the business's objectives and strategic direction. * Governance and Standards: Establishing and overseeing architectural standards and governance processes to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization. * Accountable for the target map and for the overall Enterprise Architecture within the segment(s), and to propose changes to the Volvo Group North Star architecture when needed​. To secure alignment to the Volvo Group Architecture Governance * Future-Proofing the Organization: Looking at long-term trends and changes in the market or technology to keep the organization ahead of the curve. * Stakeholder Communication: Acting as a bridge between stakeholders, including management, IT, and other business units, to ensure alignment and understanding of the enterprise architecture. You will assume ownership of decisions made across the business and technology domains and hold yourself accountable for their outcomes. Embracing the benefits from diversity by creating a culture of constructive conversation across teams, ensuring alignment and cross-pollination of ideas. You will mentor mentors and drive improvement to nurture the growth and development of talent within the organization. You will also be a key role in documentation and knowledge exchange within your team and with business stakeholders, setting an example for others to follow. Being resistant, and able to adapt quick to new technology and business environment to have a forward thinking, with innovation as a part of everyday work. This will also mean that you challenge today’s way of working and practices to be innovating and explore unconventional solutions and creative approaches to complex problems Who are you? To succeed in this role, you need to be a strong leader with both strong analytical skills communicational skills to be able to combine the business needs with the stakeholders and the development teams. Skills include: * Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent. * A minimum of 7 years of analysis experience * Experience and knowledge from business (engineering, manufacturing, physical tests and planning) if you have experience from several areas that is beneficial. * Proven skills in problem solving by addressing business and IT issues thought troubleshooting, research, technical analysis, and communications. * Have a good understanding of the alignment between business and IT processes. * Be able to gather business needs together with IT objectives to find and implement solutions fit for future. * Strong leadership skills, with clear communication to empower teams and help them to keep focus on the tasks to meet deadlines. * Have good communicational skills to be able to present and discuss solutions with different parts of the organization having various knowledge of our products. * Build trust, by staying true and follow through on decided content.
