About the Role:

We are currently in search of an experienced Lead QA Engineer with a strong background in Linux/Unix and a demonstrated history of managing large-scale open-source projects. This role calls for extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux OS specifics including FreeBSD, Solaris. You will be overseeing the design, implementation, and testing of kernel modules of - nix operating systems while working with a team of skilled professionals in a dynamic, quality-focused environment.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 7 years' experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on Linux/Unix environments.

Proven experience in managing large open-source projects.

In-depth experience in testing - nix kernel modules.

Strong knowledge and experience with Unix/Linux OS, including FreeBSD and Solaris.

Demonstrated proficiency with Python, Shell scripting, Linux, and other relevant technologies.

Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Experience with clustered distributed file systems such as Lustre, MinIO, and ZFS.

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the design, implementation, and testing of quality assurance strategies for large-scale open-source projects, with a focus on Linux/Unix OS.

Perform in-depth testing of - nix kernel modules and provide valuable insights for improvement.

Utilize your expertise in file systems, object storages, hardware data storage systems, Mainframes, and distributed file systems (Lustre, MinIO, ZFS) to enhance our projects.

Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, instilling a culture of high quality and continuous improvement.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient problem resolution and knowledge transfer.

Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of QA strategies and initiatives.

Ensure all testing activities are executed within agreed timelines and budget.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with the CI/CD process and automation tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Pytest and Robot Framework.

Previous experience in leadership roles.

Understanding of agile development methodologies.

Experience with Mainframes is a significant plus.

Prior experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable.
