Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. Customized truck development aims to accelerate this transformation by providing customer specific adaptations which are otherwise not possible in the standard Scania portfolio. Our customers range from logistic fleet operators to defence armed forces.

We are now looking for a Project manager who will join the product Follow up team at customized truck mainly working with more complex projects which we refer to as Medium/Heavy items. We are a team consisting of 6 individuals from different nationalities and backgrounds. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of products, systems, challenges, and cross-functions.

Your role

In your role as a Project manager you will work mainly with Field Quality items and Product Change Requests. Field quality items are classified as issues that come up after the truck is sold and handed over to the customer. These are typically reported as failure reports to our field quality department which are then transferred into projects handled by our team. In these projects you will pretty much act as a spider in the web coordinating with multiple cross functions which may include field quality, purchasing, suppliers and designers. You will be responsible for leading the assignments with focus on lead time quality and cost.

A typical field quality item involves defining the problem, coordinating a root causes analysis, defining short term and long term solutions for our customers and performing a lessons learnt to the line organisation so that the issues are not repeated. The product areas can be quite diverse working with solving issues on an axle to software related deviations. The key is that you are passionate about problem-solving, possess an investigating mindset and are analytical and methodical.

Your profile

• You have a technical university degree and a couple of years of working experience.

• You have a driven personality with leadership skills and strives to develop them to a higher level.

• You work in structured manner, continuously planning and prioritizing tasks and are quick to adapt to changed circumstances within the projects.

• You value an open work environment where ideas are welcome and discussed, and you are also a good listener.

• You communicate well in English.

• You have an engineering degree and have some experience either working in design or production. Experience from project management and understanding of the red arrow process is a merit.
