We're on the lookout for a Dynamic Process Engineer to our site in Avesta!

You'll be at the heart of our operations, stationed in either our Technical Department. Collaborate across departments and engage with stakeholders as you navigate the entire process line – from inception to production.

Key responsibilities:

As a Process Engineer your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Drive group process methods to slash costs, minimize time waste, and elevate the efficiency and quality of Outokumpu products and processes.
  • Champion process groups in formulating and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Dive into data and observations, crafting compelling improvement strategies presented to management.
  • Be the go-to process expert, spearheading product line projects within the hallowed grounds of Avesta Works.
  • Lead the charge in implementing continuous improvement strategies within your designated process group.
  • Participate in on-site and global Outokumpu research endeavours.
  • Report KPIs and deviations from standards and play a crucial role in training operators to master the art of reporting.

About You:

  • Possess an entrepreneurial, inquisitive mindset with an insatiable appetite for learning.
  • Navigate work with a structured yet flexible approach, absorbing inspiration from the world around you.
  • Blend practical and technical prowess seamlessly.
  • Solution-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
  • Exhibit a passion for managing and leading continuous improvement projects.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in engineering (e.g., metallurgy, material, manufacturing, industrial economics) or equivalent competence.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry is an asset.
  • Six Sigma and/or LEAN certifications are highly esteemed.
  • Fluency in both Swedish and English (written & verbal) is a must.
