Vehicle Maintenance Program

Our department

As a development engineer in the group, you will work with the maintenance program for Scania's vehicles and engines. The group delivers maintenance information and is responsible for ensuring that all Multi-Editions (workshop information) contain up-to-date and accurate maintenance information. The group collaborates with development groups in R&D and Sales and Marketing, which are responsible for the entire maintenance and repair business.

  • Maintenance instructions, and maintenance protocols.
  • Maintenance times.
  • Maintenance items.
  • Technical packages containing times, parts, and maintenance kits.
  • Workflow around the vehicle for maintenance.
  • Maintenance tool boards updated with specifications of current tools.
  • Regulatory framework for maintenance, flexible and periodic.

Your assignment

As a development engineer in the group, you will work with the maintenance program for the entire vehicle, new components are developed and will be adapted to the maintenance program for the vehicle. Adjustments to the maintenance program are ongoing and you have the teams responsible for repair methods for each component and experienced maintenance engineers to help you. You will be involved in the development process for Scania's products, which may include which maintenance intervals are appropriate based on the operation and specification of the vehicles.

Your profile

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who is driven in their work and can communicate easily with cross-functional functions. You have a solution-oriented approach and good interpersonal skills. You will work with the maintenance needs of our products and, together with the rest of the group, adapt the entire maintenance program so that it also works optimally for electrified vehicles and vehicles with alternative fuels. It is easy for you to understand and see how details can affect the whole because the maintenance session applies to the entire vehicle.

We would also like that..

  • You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree within the area or equivalent work experience.
  • You have a driving license.
  • You have several years of experience in performing maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles.
  • You know the service market process.
  • You write and speak fluently in English. If you write and speak fluently in Swedish, it is a merit.

Knowledge of Scania's aftermarket systems such as MPP, MAC, and Multi is also a merit.
