ABB Smart Power is seeking a skilled Production Unit Manager for part of our factory in Västerås. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a cross-functional team in a dynamic international environment, where continuous improvement is a key focus area. As a Production Unit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operations for four of our product groups, ensuring efficient operations, problem-solving, and fostering a collaborative culture.

This position reports to Operations Manager.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for main KPIs of the Production Unit, such as product PPM, requested on-time delivery, product cost.
• Lead the continuous improvement by solving problems by investing in automation, equipment, and process/methods development.
• Provide a world class customer experience concerning cost optimization, on-time delivery and quality.
• Coach, develop, and motivate the team to drive business performance improvement while maintaining a high focus on health and safety as well as sustainability.
• Collaborate with the management team for operations to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and strategies.

Your background

• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Experience in either production management, product engineering, quality, production development, project/change management and lean manufacturing.
• Excellent energy and proactive communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• University degree in Engineering with leadership experience in a management role, preferably in operations.
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.
