As an Automation Engineer, you will join our production engineering department and play a crucial role in enhancing the factory's productivity, quality, and thereby our ability to deliver to our customers on time. You'll be part of a team which continually improving production processes and reducing downtime through cost-effective solutions. At Saint-Gobain, safety is a top priority; therefore, it's essential to report any deviations observed and ensure "safety first" in all situations, regardless of effort or production mode.

Examples of responsibilities:

• Actively drive, lead, and coordinate improvement work within your area of responsibility in collaboration with the process, maintenance, and production departments
• Serve as a project manager for certain machine investments in the factory
• Conduct and document fault investigations and risk assessments concerning control systems within production
• Plan and carry out troubleshooting and potential modifications in existing control systems
• Run some WCM (world class manufacturing) improvement projects

Location is in our factory in Bålsta, northwest from Stockholm.

We are seeking you that have a university degree as automation engineer or hold a degree in civil/computer engineering, with a focus on automation/mechatronics. You should have several years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing, experiences in process industries being highly advantageous. Knowledge in PLC programming, e.g., Allan-Bradley, Siemens, is required. Additionally, you should have knowledge of programming and machine safety within HMI, SCADA, and DCS. Proficient English language skills, both verbal and written, are a requirement.
