Job Description

Are you passionate about leading and developing people in a big organization, collaborating on setting direction and priorities, contributing to develop the supply chain including leading through change? In the new ways of working some specific competences will be managed and organized in competence hubs. We do this to develop people and business together by ensuring better competence development, deduplication and ensuring better utilization of capacity. The focus is on developing people and create optimal preconditions to perform in the delivery teams. You will also be connected to the networks across Inter IKEA Group, led from Group Operations management.

As a Competence Hub Development Manager, you will, among other assignments:

  • Attract, recruit and develop highly competent coworkers.
  • Plan and develop competence to deliver on the capability area plans, current and future.
  • Driving the competence agenda, identifying needs and gaps, and build leadership, competence, and succession plans.
  • In close cooperation with Digital Product Area Managers, secure capacity for the digital product teams.
  • Secure upskilling to meet short- and long-term business needs.
  • Set standards and guidelines to secure commonality and uniformity for respective discipline across Inter IKEA, in close collaboration with Network Capability area managers.
  • Lead implementation of new agile ways of working in the Capability Area.

In this role you will report to the Supply Chain Planning Development Manager and be a part of the management team together with Digital Product Area Managers.

Qualifications

We are on a journey of a new way of developing IKEA through processes, capabilities, product & platform-based ways of working. This will be done in close collaboration with stakeholders across IKEA, as we will work closer together to align our plans, remove duplications, and stop double work.

We are looking for a person with several years of experience in leading business and people. We wish that you have a high motivation towards leading people and securing their development while you have a passion for planning and leading in a global assignment.

Your key capabilities are:

  • Strong knowledge of IKEA value chain
  • Knowledge and understanding of the IKEA processes and organizations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong interest to lead development in IKEA supply chain.
  • Leading people & securing competence development.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
