Bring your love of developing systems, working collaboratively, and your advanced skills to a place where you can make an impact.   Roles and Responsibilities Our mission, is to identify and create and deliver new digital vehicle-related services, from an end-to-end perspective (meaning cross-functionally), by capitalizing on digitalization and the knowhow of the Volvo Group.  A directional target, is that we by 2027, have  established a “Service machinery” for vehicle-related services, leading 1/3 of all Service initiatives, and are recognized as the "applied service innovation center" within Group Trucks.  We are a fairly new organization, and we are looking to grow in the area of Android development.  In this role, you will be a member of the Service Development team (“team MVP”), with the mission to:  •    Designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications (services), both on our Android Automotive platform as well as for Android for mobiles and tablets - for customers with trucks in their fleets  •    Create quick prototypes to demo ideas, or to validate options with/for our customers.   •    Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance app/service functionality.   •    Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of our applications,  by developing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.   •    To share knowledge in the team, e.g. by performing code reviews to maintain code quality and sharing of best practices and know-how to continuously improve the architecture and development  You will be part of Vehicle Technology, and more specifically, the Services organization, and be part of the Services Development Team and report to the Group Manager of Service Development.   .  How to succeed To succeed in this position, a solid technical foundation in Software development in general, and Android in particular, is a good start, and a passion for collaboration will be the next building block.  On top of this, you will probably bring your passion for at least one of the following topics: android and/or technology trends, applied innovation using a combination of open platforms (SDKs/SOA), service design, continuous improvement culture or app architecture and performance.  If you combine the above, with a Mindset of: “The overall flow of value is more important than my silo”, your success is very close to assured 😊.  The location for the position is Gothenburg, Sweden.
