Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Packaging Engineer to join our dynamic team

What you will work on:

  • Establishing and maintaining optimal packaging solutions for spare parts and accessories, ensuring compliance with running change processes.
  • Developing new packaging solutions, including load-carrier options, when necessary.
  • Ensuring end-to-end packaging engineering process adherence, following industry best practices.
  • Documenting packaging analysis, justification, and implementation procedures, considering total cost concepts.
  • Implementing solutions for packaging dangerous goods, including labeling and data sheet compliance.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to develop robust packaging solutions domestically and internationally.
  • Establishing and updating packaging guidelines and functional specifications.
  • Container stuffing optimization.
  • Analyzing and resolving quality issues related to packaging solutions.
  • Monitoring and improving the quality and cost-effectiveness of packaging solutions.
  • Streamlining packaging portfolio and reducing overall costs.

What you bring:

  • Packaging engineering degree or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of automotive industry packaging or logistics experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with different packaging materials and properties.
  • Experience in packaging quality assessment and cost calculation.
  • Proficiency in packaging concept design and 2D/3D visualization.
  • Competent in computer applications (Microsoft Office, logistics systems, etc.).
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Good planning, organizing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability to changing work environments.
  • Willingness to travel and possess a valid driving license.
  • Knowledge of Chinese language is a plus.
  • CAD (CATIA) competency in surface modeling.
  • Proficiency in Team Center Automotive for authoring.
  • Serving as the main point of contact for Engineering, addressing improvements in the way of working.
  • Collaborating with other PMTI Leads to ensure consistency across PMTI Areas.
  • Keeping the PMTI description in PEF relevant and useful.
  • Establishing a collaborative network with Operational Leads, Digital Product, Virtual Improvement Teams, and Communities of practice.
  • Leading initiatives and projects within the designated area.
  • Implementing change into the business.
  • Conducting regular Business Analysis work, including stakeholder and requirement management, workshop facilitation, and process flow analysis and documentation.
