In 2024, a new role will be added at Business Development, Special products. The aim is to increase the focus on creating new commercial products from what we today classify as secondary raw materials, penal elements, or products unknown to us today. The driving force for the valorization is not only purely financial but also ESG-related: waste is a significant environmental burden and by creating products and jobs by minimizing the volume of waste, we contribute both to society, the environment and Boliden's ESG goals.

Location is Boliden, or at one of our operational units. The position reports to the Director of Business Development and will be part of the management team for Business Development.

Tasks

As a senior Project Manager at Business Development, you are responsible for planning, leading, and developing projects or assignments that the department handles. This specific role includes, together with our research and development projects (both within Mines and Smelters and externally) identifying possible "special products", conducting market research, identifying, and contacting potential customers and commercializing possible new products. As this is a new role within Boliden Mines, a first step is to carry out a literature study on the research that Boliden has produced historically in the area and then produce a "roadmap" for continued work.

Your qualifications

You who are applying are university educated, preferably with a specialization in Mineral Technology, Chemical Technology, Economics or Entrepreneurship. Experience from the mining and mineral industry or chemical process industry is advantageous, preferably in the areas of purchasing or sales. The work requires that you are outgoing, have good cooperation skills, willingness and knowledge of leading others but also be able to work independently. We would like to see that you as a person can have the ability to work structured and towards long-term strategic goals. You can express yourself well in speech and writing, both in Swedish and in English. A driving license for car is a requirement.
