Northvolt has an exciting job offer for an Technical Project Manager to join our Västerås team.

In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of large-scale European battery factories. As Technical Project Manager you have functional responsibility of equipment requirements, management, design, purchase, and installation, and ensure that safety and certification approvals are met with the right quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Delivering the project scope through cross functional development and tracking of the cross-functional project timeline.
  • Ensures the realization of all project life cycle phases, for example: requirements definition, design, sourcing/procurement, execution, cold and hot commissioning till handover to end user, with a focus on process safety.
  • Ensure all project management processes are tailored, implemented and maintained throughout the project life.
  • Regular reporting of project performance.
  • Capturing Lessons Learnt to address critical issues and prevent repeated mistakes

Qualifications and experience

  • MSc, preferably in engineering
  • Solid understanding of battery related materials is a plus.
  • Excellent English written and oral skills.

Specific skills

  • Experienced in process development methodologies including building of road maps and requirements, traceability management (verification/validation) and safety certifications.
  • Experience of working as a technical project manager.
  • Stakeholder Management and strong communication skills.
  • A structured approach to working & problem solving.
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to apply logical thinking to resolve faults and issues with appropriate corrections and measures.
