As a Senior Cost Engineer, you will get the exciting opportunity to contribute with your technical skills at the forefront of technology. You will also support process and policy improvement for systems acquisition practices related to the software testing. Additional responsibilities: With your understanding of the Software structure for the main functionalities / Sub functionalities or detailed Software function to calculate key complexity cost drivers. You will be responsible for costing software testing efforts and providing cost targets to purchasing / engineering for all areas included in the testing process. An additional competency is Software testing within ADAS, Active Safety, Infotainment, Climate comfort and control, Battery Management Systems. On an everyday basis, you will work with capturing the technical requirements, test plan reuse analysis, test execution effort analysis – both technically and financially. You will also be responsible for the cost models for different phases of test life cycle. Since you’re a true team player, you will also interact with the hardware and software team, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional peers to build up the testing cost. Required qualifications: * A degree in Electronics engineering sciences or Computer science or a comparable degree, with at least 10+ years of professional experience in embedded software testing [Like SIL, HIL & Vehicle testing] * Software commercial project management skills with a sound knowledge of the software processes and how software is specified and described. * Exposure to software development life cycle [Like Waterfall, Spiral & V model]. Preferably Right side of V model. * Good know how of software test life cycle [STLC] * Experience of software program management OR project management in Automotive area. * Awareness of software testing effort estimation techniques. * Experience of software project delivery in an agile environment. * Work experience in Automotive software supplier [Tier1/Tier2] is expected * Strong interest in costing and deriving the software cost models * ISTQB certification is value added.
