As a Senior Cost Engineer, you will get the exciting opportunity to contribute with your technical skills at the forefront of technology. Product development and sourcing processes will keep your day busy. And with your analytical mind, you will dive deep into the overall financial constraints of supplier-related engineering to meet our technical requirements. You will also support process and policy improvement for systems acquisition practices related to the software development. With your passion for finance, you will calculate the cost of software development for new truck projects. And don’t worry – if you haven't worked with cost-efficient engineering before, you will learn all about it when joining us. In other words, you will soon become an expert on cost target settings and activity-based cost breakdowns on software development based on technical regulations, software design specifications, and testing requirements. Additional responsibilities: With your understanding of the Software architecture, software design specifications and platform reuse to calculate key complexity cost drivers. You will be responsible for costing development efforts and providing cost targets for development work to purchasing / engineering for all areas included in the development process based on the V-model. An additional competency is Software development within ADAS, Active Safety, Infotainment, Climate comfort and control, Battery Management Systems. On an everyday basis, you will work with capturing the technical requirements, Logical design specifications and platform adaptations – both technically and financially. You will also be responsible for translating the Software requirements into an engineering cost calculation. Since you’re a true team player, you will also interact with the hardware and software team, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional peers to build up the development cost. Required qualifications: * A degree in Electronics engineering sciences or Computer science or a comparable degree, with at least 10+ years of professional experience in Automotive embedded software development. * Software commercial project management skills with a sound knowledge of the software processes and how software is specified and described. * Good exposure to software development life cycle [Like Waterfall, Spiral & V model]. Preferably V model. * Experience of software program management OR project management in Automotive area. * Awareness of software development effort estimation techniques. * Knowledge of Automotive software testing is a value added. * Experience of software project delivery in an agile environment. * Work experience in Automotive software supplier [Tier1/Tier2] is expected. * Strong interest in costing and deriving the software cost models. * Know-how of Automotive functional safety standards & cyber security goals Why us?
