Additional responsibilities: With your understanding of the function for the entire Tier 1 delivery unit and on the detailed BOM, you will calculate key complexity cost drivers. You will be responsible for costing development efforts and providing cost targets for development work to purchasing / engineering for all areas included in the development process of Cab, Chassis and Powertrain Automotive systems. An additional competency is Energy and power systems, Comfort and Control, Infotainment, Active/passive safety systems. On an everyday basis, you will work with capturing the technical requirements related to Hardware engineering projects – both technically and financially. You will also be responsible for translating the technical / Functional requirements, BOM and as well the platform share into an engineering cost calculation. Since you’re a true team player, you will also interact with the hardware and software team, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional peers to build up the development cost. Required qualifications: * A degree in Electronics/Mechanical engineering or a comparable degree, with at least 5 years of professional experience in a comparable employment (e.g. development) * Engineering project management skills with a sound knowledge of the development process. * Experience on the functionality on components and systems within automotive interior, exterior and powertrain.   * Experience in CAE tools. * Several years of professional experience in cost calculation of hardware development work, preferably as a systems supplier. Experience on cost calculation in relation to legal, customer and supplier specific testing. Desired skills: * Knowledge on the functionality on electric/electronic components and control units. * Knowledge on platform-based development work. * Strong analytical background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  * Experience on hardware engineering cost models and tools.
