Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a senior commissioning maintenance manager. In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of large-scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon-free society, and this is your opportunity to take part in leading those efforts and help drive us to success.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The commissioning work is carried out in a methodical, adopted way and the documentation is prepared allowing a continuous survey of the situation.
  • The commissioning work is implemented with a minimum of interference of the running production.
  • Recruit and train a seasoned maintenance team dedicated to commissioning new lines.
  • Coordination with the project, operation, and maintenance organizations of the plant.
  • Organize, plan, supervise and coordinate the commissioning work.
  • Consult the installation team regarding the sequence of the installation work to enable commissioning.
  • Ensure that sufficient documentation is prepared for the commissioning work.
  • Secure that the commissioning work is documented in a proper manner.
  • Ensure that the supplier’s commissioning work satisfies the stipulated requirements.
  • Continuously inform the area Manager and other stakeholders about the progress of the commissioning work and immediately report any deviations.
  • Make sure that the security regulations are observed during the checkout work

Requirements

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven 10 years’ experience in Maintenance Management or in a similar manufacturing leadership role.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and advanced production planning strategies.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with senior leadership.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve operations.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing

Specific skills

  • Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus.
  • Structured problem-solving methods
