As a member of our Hardware Functional Safety team in the role of Functional Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 standards.

Your primary duties will include:

• Collaborating with software teams to contribute to the development of technical safety concepts and ensuring the fulfillment of processes and requirements.
• Emphasizing safety requirements and hardware architecture while breaking down complex requirements.
• Evaluating hardware metrics and addressing safety goal violations such as FMEDA and FTA, in addition to working on hardware integration, verification analysis, and Safety Case collections.
• Working closely with design teams to strike a balance between solutions and optimizing attributes while considering cost implications.

The requirements for this role include:

• Holding a master's degree in power electronics or a related field.
• Demonstrated prior experience in the automotive industry, specifically in functional safety related to electronics hardware development.
• Proficiency in fault tree analysis and hardware metrics calculation.
• Strong familiarity with the application of ISO 26262 standards to electronics hardware development.
• Significant experience in system engineering, with a particular focus on power electronics safety aspects.
