IT Category Manager

What would you do as our IT Category Manager

IT Category Management involves the establishment and management of supplier engagements, minimizes complexity and maximizes competition, drives change to outcome-based performance, and drives cultural change to strategic supply within ASSA ABLOY.

As one of four IT Category Managers you will take business ownership of one or several IT sub-categories across the ASSA ABLOY Group. You will, in cooperation with relevant stakeholders, define the strategic direction and lead execution of initiatives to drive cost reduction and value creation from the supplier base.

In stakeholder management you will need to develop a deep understanding for both group and divisional business strategies and requirements. In line with the global IT strategy, you are expected to provide Top Executives with sourcing and supplier development opportunities

You would also:

• Develop and drive IT Sourcing strategy as part of IT Operational model development

• Manage IT contracts that cover group applications and group-wide IT infrastructure, software and cloud according to ASSA ABLOY strategy

• Ensure that purchasing of part of IT operations from external ISP and ASP are administered and approved under the common framework and tools agreed with each provider, and that relevant regulations and policies are followed in preparing the contract

• Provide support in the business and operational development

• Ensure that the economic parameters of the IT contract are clear and comprehensible and that the financing and accounting method is described for each contract, according to the approved model

• Measure methods and frequency of monitoring of IT contracts benefit

• Drive own initiatives within the area of responsibility as well as driving supplier governance and supplier development

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a university degree or equivalent

• Has significant IT sourcing experience including strategic development of IT sourcing, ideally in complex organizations

• Has excellent communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders cross-functionally

• Is fluent in English, spoken and written

• Is available to travel within Sweden and internationally (approximately 30 days per year)

In this role you will work for ASSA ABLOY Group and report to the Head of Indirect Procurement EMEIA and you will work with internal stakeholders, primarily Group IT organization and Divisional IT Directors, as well as a significant portfolio of suppliers across the globe.
