The Surgical Clinic is located at Falun Hospital, a modern building with a picturesque view of central Falun. The Surgical Clinic comprises a surgical outpatient department, an oncology outpatient department, a bariatric outpatient department, and three inpatient wards specializing in various surgical fields. Ward 11: Surgical Acute Care (SAC) & Upper Gastrointestinal Tract Ward 14: Lower Gastrointestinal Tract Ward 15: Plastic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Urology, & Endocrinology Our team is dedicated and highly competent, fostering an open and positive work environment. We have ward-based support services to handle tasks outside direct patient care, including cleaning, food handling, inventory management and patient transportation. This allows healthcare professionals to focus on patient care within their areas of expertise. Individual scheduling is in place enabling you to have some control over your work hours. In the outpatient care setting you will collaborate with professionals from various disciplines. Your role as a nurse is to act as the primary contact for patients within diagnostic areas such as breast, thyroid, prostate, urinary tract/kidneys, burns, plastic surgery, vascular disease, or gastrointestinal disorders. Your tasks will be diverse and you'll have ample opportunities to plan your day in coordination with your team. Your responsibilities will include conducting your own clinics, various treatments, pre- and post-operative care, surgery planning, multidisciplinary treatment conferences, telephone advice, and overall patient coordination.
