As Build Engineer (DevOps) on the Tech Foundation team at Arrowhead you are part of a multidisciplinary tech team supporting the ongoing development of our game projects. You will work closely with the Tech Product Lead and be responsible for the overall product and service of providing stable scaling build environments infrastructure, support and solutions. Candidates for this role should have a lean approach to development and feel motivated by developing within the Unreal ecosystem. Who you are: We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing and maintaining our build pipelines. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who partners with the Tech Foundation team and Game leadership to proactively identify needs, spot challenges, and suggest solutions. Due to the nature of the role, this will involve having a solid foundation of experience to draw from, and the creative problem solving to apply proven best practice or experiment new techniques, and the judgment to know when to use either approach. We prefer the following experience: Setting up and managing build and deployment pipelines Familiarity with Unreal development ecosystem compatible CI/CD frameworks, TeamCity or Jenkins Experience with, or have shipped titles, on Unreal 4 or greater Preproduction or Prototyping project phase experience Good understanding of source control systems like Git or Perforce Experience with containerization (using Docker), JIRA and Confluence What you'll do; Create and structure new build and deployment architecture for the Unreal development ecosystem Writing and improving python build scripts Updating build jobs and pipelines as well as managing version control systems Verify build stability during development Deploy and operate supporting services for game teams Analyze performance and provide recommendations Troubleshoot operational issues Manage server logs, what to log, where to log it and how to analyze the logs.
