Som studie- och yrkesvägledare på ISLK stöttar du eleverna att besluta om vidareutbildning på gymnasiet. Du ansvarar för information om vidare studier, utbildningsvägar och yrkesval, individuell/gruppvägledning och andra aktiviteter som hjälper eleverna i deras process. Du har ett nära samarbete med biträdande rektorn, MYP-koordinatorn, lärarna, elevhälsoteamet, eleverna och deras föräldrar och Gymnasieantagningen i Lunds stad. Det är önskvärt att du har erfarenhet av vägledning i en internationell kontext, vägledning av elever från IB MYP-programmet till IBDP samt mot de svenska gymnasie-programmen.

Job description

As a career advisor at ISLK you support the students in their process of deciding on their further education at upper secondary school. You are responsible for planning information, individual/group guidance and other activities that helps the students in their process. You work closely with the Vice principal, MYP coordinator, teachers and the Student support team, as well as the students and their parents and Gymnasieantagningen in the City of Lund. It’s desirable that you have experience in career advising in an international context, guiding students from the IB MYP programme to IBDP, as well as towards the Swedish gymnasium programmes.

Kvalifikationer

• Kandidatexamen i studie- och yrkesvägledning/Examen från Studie- och yrkesvägledare programmet.

• Flytande i svenska och engelska i tal och skrift.

Krav

• God kommunikations- och samarbetsförmåga.

• Förhållningssätt och färdigheter för en internationell och mångkulturell miljö.

• Professionell, strukturerad och stödjande i arbetet med elever, föräldrar, skolpersonal och Gymnasieantagning.

• Ha förtroende för elevernas förmåga och se till elevernas bästa.

• Intresse för att arrangera aktiviteter som breddar elevernas kunskaper om arbetsmarknaden och olika yrken.

• Intresse för att anpassa och utveckla yrkesvägledningen vid ISLK för att passa verksamhetens specifika behov.

• Hålla dig uppdaterad om utbildningar och arbetsmarknad.

• Utmärkta muntliga och skriftliga färdigheter i arbetsspråket engelska.

Ansökan måste skrivas på engelska för att kunna beaktas.

Anställningen inleds med en provanställning på 6 månader.

Vi kommer att arbeta med ett löpande urval i rekryteringsprocessen, och intervjuer kan komma att genomföras innan ansökningsperioden har löpt ut.

För att få arbeta med barn eller elever inom förskola och skola behöver du kunna uppvisa ett godtagbart utdrag ur belastningsregistret.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts in Study and Career Guidance/Examen från Studie- och yrkesvägledare programmet.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.

• Be a professional, structured and supportive member of the staff for the students.
• Have faith in the student’s ability and look out for their best interest.
• Interest in arranging lessons and other activities that widen the students’ knowledge about the labour market and different professions.
• Interest in adjusting and develop the career guidance at ISLK to fit their specific needs.
• Keeping yourself up to date about education and the labour market.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in the working language English.

The application must be written in English to be considered.

The position may start with a probation time of 6 months. After the agreed period of time the position will be turned into a permanent position, if agreed by both parties.

We will work with a continuous selection in the recruitment process and interviews might be conducted before the application period has expired.

About Us

ISLK - International School of Lund is an IB World School authorized to teach the IB Early Years Programme, Primary Years Programme and the Middle Years Programme. The school works in close collaboration with Katedralskolan where the IB Diploma Programme is offered. ISLK is a growing school and has approximately 400 students at the moment.
