Why this role matters

This is a pivotal leadership role at the intersection of clinical expertise, medical strategy, and commercial impact.

As Medical Affairs Director – Chronic & Prevention, you will act as the key medical and scientific link between the global medical community and Mölnlycke’s chronic patient journey.

You will shape how evidence, clinical insight, and real-world practice translate into meaningful patient outcomes, while influencing strategy at a global level.

How you will make an impact

• Serve as the medical and scientific authority within chronic wound care, with deep expertise in clinical practice and evidence interpretation
• Drive global evidence generation strategies aligned with both clinical needs and commercial objectives
• Lead close cross‑functional collaboration across Medical Affairs, Commercial, R&D, and Market Access teams to support value‑based patient outcomes
• Ensure all clinical and post‑market evidence activities are grounded in best clinical practice, scientific literature, and appropriate governance standards
• Guide publication strategies to maximize the quality, credibility, and impact of clinical data
• Provide medical leadership in:
• Clinical study design and execution
• Market Access and Evidence Planning (MAEPs) across the product lifecycle
• Post‑market clinical data generation, including observational studies and real‑world evidence
• Maintain medical governance, compliance, and patient safety oversight for Mölnlycke‑sponsored investigations in line with regulatory and GCP expectations
• Act as a credible external expert, engaging with healthcare professionals and scientific stakeholders globally, including participation in international forums and presentations
• Provide medical input into claims, evidence positioning, and business development opportunities to ensure scientific accuracy and credibility

What you bring

Must-haves

• Clinical background (e.g. MD, RN, or equivalent registered Health Care Professional)
• Experience in medical affairs, ideally within wound care
• Strong clinical expertise in chronic wound management
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across senior stakeholders
• Strong scientific and analytical capability
• Strong understanding of research processes from conception to dissemination
• Demonstrated commercial awareness and ability to connect clinical work to business impact
• Credibility with healthcare professionals and external stakeholders
• Fluency in English

• Experience presenting to international audiences
