About the position IO Interactive is looking for a Senior HR Consultant (Interim) to cover a parental leave at their Malmö studio. This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role where you step into an existing HR function and operate with immediate responsibility. The assignment runs from February until end of August / mid-September, and you will work closely with both local stakeholders in Malmö and the global HR organisation. IO Interactive is a highly successful AAA game studio with approximately 150 employees in Malmö, representing around 40 nationalities. The organisation operates globally, but places strong emphasis on local presence, accessibility, and close collaboration. HR works cross-location, often in close dialogue with colleagues in other studios such as Copenhagen and Barcelona. While processes are global, execution is primarily local. Reponsibilities As Senior HR Consultant, you will act as a doer and owner rather than an advisor on the sidelines. You will manage and execute across the full employee lifecycle while contributing to global HR processes. Global scope • Participate in and support global HR processes • Act as a driver in shared processes such as salary reviews and salary mapping • Own and follow through on HR cases to ensure progress and delivery • Contribute to cross-location projects Local execution (Malmö) • Work permits and migration matters • Employment contracts and contract changes • Absence management • Labour law compliance • Employee handbook and HR policies • Work environment and rehabilitation cases • Onboarding and offboarding • Pensions and insurances • Performance and promotion processes • EU salary mapping directive compliance Your profile We believe you have: • Solid experience across the full employment lifecycle • Previous exposure to scale-ups, fast-growing organisations, and creative industries • Confidence handling labour law, employee relations, and performance matters • Experience working close to the business, not just policy • Ability to balance employee perspective with business reality Language & communication: • Fluent in Swedish and English • Comfortable communicating with authorities such as the Swedish Migration Agency Personal traits: • Proactive and solution-oriented • Pragmatic and business-aware • Trustworthy and grounded, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation • Comfortable working independently • Collaborative and reliable in cross-functional environments About the Organisation IO Interactive is an independent videogame development and publishing company with studios in Copenhagen, Malmö, Barcelona, Istanbul and Brighton.
