Infrastructure Systems Consultant - virtual platforms & CICD Employment type: contract Start date: ideally 23-January-2026 End date: 30-June-2026 Location: Helsinki, Finland Way of working: hybrid - on-site participation will be needed occasionally Languages Required: fluent English (speak, read, write) Role Description: Infrastructure Systems Consultant - virtual platforms & CICD to * Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments. * Migrate VM workloads from one virtual computing platform to another. The successful consultant will have hands-on experience with different virtual platforms and migration from one to another. Main responsibilities: As Infrastructure Systems Engineer, you will engage actively with cross-functional teams to build and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructure for R&D activities. You will also migrate virtual computing workloads from one platform to another. You will bring a high level of enthusiasm, analytical & service mindset, and good industry practices along with the technical skills required to help you succeed in this role. * Administer and maintain infrastructure solutions (both cloud and on-prem) for engineering activities. * Deploy hardware & software used in engineering activities, and debug deployment-related problems. * Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments. * Migrate VM workloads from one virtual computing platform to another. * Provide technical support to engineering teams / business stakeholders on infrastructure needs. * Evaluate, propose, and implement solutions for continuous improvement of infrastructure. * Document and communicate processes for supported environments. * Document and maintain infrastructure inventory. * Follow advances in technology for continuous improvement of infrastructure solutions. * Train and share knowledge with co-workers. * Occasional periods of physically demanding activity when working with lab/server room equipment. * Work as part of a global team and capability to travel globally (up to 5% of the time) to support engineering activities. Job requirements, skills and experience: ✔️ Strong knowledge of virtual computing platforms (e.g., Azure Local, VMware, Citrix, Parallels, etc.). ✔️ Experience in migrating VM workloads from one platform to another. ✔️ Knowledge and experience in: * Cloud computing (e.g., Microsoft Azure, etc.). * Microsoft platforms (e.g., Windows Server OS, Active Directory, etc.). * Infrastructure as Code (IaC), scripting and deployment automation (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, etc.). * computer networks, IT security, monitoring, and data backup/retention/recovery. * computer hardware management (e.g., servers, desktops, GPUs, etc.) * DevOps tools (e.g., Git, TFS, Kubernetes, etc.) ✔️ Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English, and ability to work in a multi-site team. ✔️ Service mindset in collaborating effectively with internal and external customers. ✔️ Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of related experience, or Master Degree (or equivalent) with 3+ years of related experience.
