Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior CAE Expert – Quality Impression (QI) & NVH to join our dynamic team.
What you will work on:
- Drive method development for CAE within Quality Impression (QI), enabling early evaluation of QI in project phases.
- Perform CAE analysis and deliver validated simulation results aligned with design targets.
- Propose when and where specific analyses and simulations should be performed to support decision-making.
- Support the QI team with additional QI-related assignments across solidity, NVH and general quality performance.
- Act as a global technical expert within QI calculation and maintain high simulation fidelity.
- Provide clear communication of results and recommendations to colleagues without a CAE background.
- Lead and mentor less experienced Simulation & Analysis Engineers globally.
- Drive method and tool development, contributing to continuous improvement of processes and tools.
- Collaborate with global teams, universities and external partners to drive innovation and expand technical capabilities.
- Initiate and lead worldwide networks and contribute to product and system roadmaps.
- Support project and design engineers in all stages of development, providing technical solutions at varying complexity levels.
- Perform project evaluations, estimations and planning to meet timelines and delivery expectations.
What you bring:
- At least 10 years of relevant experience within CAE, QI, solidity or NVH within the automotive sector.
- Strong advantage if you have previous experience performing calculations within QI/solidity/NVH.
- Strong skills in developing, documenting and verifying new methodologies, including correlation with physical testing.
- Ability to communicate complex CAE findings clearly to non-CAE stakeholders and engage effectively on a global level.
- Self-driven, proactive and able to operate as a recognized global competence in QI calculations.
- Creative, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to support cross-functional engineering teams.
- Broad technical skill set, preferably with knowledge of solidity calculations, force/movement analysis, squeak & rattle, e-line acoustics and wear assessments.
- Proficiency in Ansa/Beta, MSC Nastran and Abaqus, with Python as a strong advantage.
- Fluent English (required) and Swedish (beneficial).
- Strong T-shaped profile, acting as a subject-matter expert and a natural go-to person for complex simulation issues.
- Experience leading projects, coaching colleagues and driving strategic contributions in line with organizational goals.
- Ability to articulate value creation and connect simulation work to technical direction and business strategy
