Job Responsibilities

As part of our team, you will:

• Engage with ongoing and future ICE and BEV projects at TRATON GROUP, and forefront pre-development initiatives aligned with our strategic objectives.
• Contribute to driving the implementation of fastener-related strategies and principles, pushing the current boundaries of knowledge and awareness.
• Developing the testing facility and test methods in our laboratory by following established and new procedures as well as performing development tests and documenting your findings in technical reports providing analysis and insights on test results and convey complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
• Play a pivotal role in developing new standards, guidelines and other tools based on forefront expertise gained by exploring new test methodologies, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ensuring highest quality of fastener models, drawings and other defining documents.
• Use your learned practical and theoretical expertise to conduct analysis of screw joints and tackle technical challenges, driving towards new and cost-effective screw-joint solutions.
• Collaborate and strengthen relationships with internal, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the development of screw-joint solutions of high standards.
• Utilise your exceptional communication skills to convey complex technical learnings and solutions in a clear and accessible manner.
• Explore and develop your area expertise within testing coupled to current and new technologies coupled to BEV.

Who You Are

To thrive in this role, you should have a master’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering, engineering physics, or a related field. Experience in mechanical testing or analytical applications of screw joints is a strong advantage, but a keen interest in developing expertise in this area is just as valuable. Familiarity with design work and Scania’s PDM systems is also highly beneficial.

We are looking for someone with strong practical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as a sharp eye for detail. You should be comfortable presenting ideas and speaking in public, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swedish—knowledge of German is a plus.
