We are hiring Production Preparators for our Steel- & Pipe departments!
The Production Preparator will work in a functional organization that enables Production to deliver internal and external projects according to agreed project plan and quality level.
The Production Preparator is responsible for translating engineering information (drawings, technical specifications, client job requests, on site measurements, etc.) into production information to be used for projects works execution. Production preparator is the link between project manager, engineering, procurement, materials stock, and production.
Production Preparator responsibilities are listed below:
Site or onboard inspection of jobs and mark-ups
prefabrication / preparation documents (plate nesting, profile cutting details, bending informations, etc.)
fabrication / installation drawings
full traceability of material for internal and external projects
material stock update/maintenance
Final documetation preparation
Dimensional control inspections and reports
Structural inspections assistance for QA/QC inspector
Materials Traceability system control and development
Assurance of uniform output of documentation & „drawn, checked, approved“ process
Development and maintenance of documentation system
IT Literacy, CAD software proficiency
Shipbuilding/ship repair technical experience
Ship design draughting / engineering experience
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, with all internal organization departments, suppliers, subcontractors, customers and regulatory authorities.
Strong coordination and organization skills, with strict emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Swedish is meritorious.
Knowledge of project specific documentation related to ship repairs and conversions
Must have the ability to work within strict deadlines and under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
High School technical profile as a minimum, university level preferred.
Good knowledge English, both speaking and writing.
B driving license.
