We are seeking an experienced C++ Developer to join our client, to work on the development and maintenance of critical backend applications for their truck divisions. These applications provide essential data, including unique truck parameters and BOM (Bill of Materials), enabling various stakeholders such as end users, factories, and sales teams to perform technical calculations, build trucks, and specify orders.
As part of an exciting modernization initiative, we are migrating our on-premise applications to a cloud-native environment using ARO (Azure Red Hat OpenShift)
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain robust backend C++ applications used across multiple truck divisions.
– Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the applications meet the needs of end users, factories, and sales teams.
– Support the migration of legacy applications to the cloud environment (ARO) and assist in converting them into cloud-native services.
– Participate in designing, testing, and implementing scalable and high-performance software solutions.
– Contribute to agile development cycles, ensuring rapid response to evolving requirements and priorities.
Required Skills and Competencies:
– Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with C++, Node.js, JavaScript/JQuery/Bootstrap, ARO (Azure Red Hat OpenShift), Oracle, containerization (Podman/Docker), REST APIs, and Python.
– Strong experience in version control tools such as GIT and Bitbucket.
– Proactive and self-motivated with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Agile mindset, comfortable with rapidly changing requirements and development cycles.
– Ability to think proactively and deliver high-quality, scalable, and robust software solutions.
– Experience working in Scrum environments and embracing its values.
Desirable Skills:
– Experience with PHP, CI/CD processes, and message queue concepts (e.g., IBM MQ).
– Mechanical engineering background with a focus on simulation is a plus.
– Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automation tools.
