Financial Control & Accounting (FCA) is a part of Group Finance with the responsibility to secure that financial performance is correctly reflected for Business Areas, Truck Divisions, Group Functions and legal entities. FCA also provides local tax administration and compliance as well as global shared services through delivery centers in Accounting Services with quality focused and process efficient service deliveries. We are approximately 1.400 employees with a global footprint in 50+ countries closely integrated with local business operations. FCA drives quality and efficiency through lean optimization, digitalization, and offshoring.
What you will do
Are you passionate about accounting, digitalization, working in project and are looking for the next professional step in a global environment, you might be our Financial Controller for Group Trucks Operation (GTO) and Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP).
The role as Financial Controller Consolidation for GTO and GTP will have 2 major areas to focus on; one is the consolidation of GTO and GTP and the second will be the implementation of Elvira, AB Volvo major project to implement a cloud-based Master Finance platform. In the position you will work with the consolidated operating income and operating capital, guide legal companies in their financial reporting process and be part of projects (Elvira) and initiatives within the finance area.
The position is based in Gothenburg at the Volvo Group Headquarters. You will work close together with Business Control, Group accounting, IT and other functions at GTO and GTP, which will give you a broad understanding of the business and the operation.
As Financial Controller Consolidation you will be part of the GTO/GTP accounting team at FCA and together with your team secure correct global as well as local accounting from both external as well as internal perspectives. Be a driving and coordinating part of the implementation of Elvira for GTO and GTP. You will also drive and develop accounting and financial reporting processes for GTO/GTP, in close co-operation with Group Accounting and the CFO/Chief Controller function to secure proper and accurate closings. One key success factor, besides having a passion for accounting, is that you are a true team player and have good networking skills.

You have a genuine interest in accounting combined with analytical skills and are looking to develop processes and digital ways of working.
Experience from multi-cultural and global finance operations is a plus. You need to be proficient in accounting and preferably in consolidation as well as experience from working in projects.
Qualifications
University degree in Business Administration or similar education
Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of accounting
Experience from major projects in the finance community
Willingness to drive harmonization and standardization of accounting processes
Ability to lead the financial reporting activities and deliver financial analysis of closing outcome
Enjoy functional leadership, working in teams and contributing to a positive atmosphere
Interest in developing accounting/financial processes with new technology
Fully proficient in written and spoken Swedish and English
Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
