The opportunity
The global supplier quality function at HVDC is expanding and in need of a Supplier Quality Management
- Task Force Lead to strengthen our international team.
In this role you will be part of a team that is dedicated to implement a culture and practice of excellence throughout the entire value chain of the organization, to increase customer satisfaction and improve profitability in a sustainable way.
HVDC are in a stage of rapid growth, driven by the Green Transition, and making sure its supply base is able to grow at the same pace in a sustainable way is key.
While identifying and mitigating supply chain quality and performance risks is fundamental in enabling a sustainable growth, it is also imperative to be able to manage any issues that may occur in a structured manner, thereby minimizing impact to the business and allowing uninterrupted deliveries of HVDC links.
In this role, you will lead the problem resolution process for complex cases involving our supply chain.
You will be coordinating team members from all parts of HVDC and supplier to minimize impact to the business and ensure the problem is resolved sustainably.
How you´ll make an impact
- This position will mainly be focusing on managing complex non-conformities from containment to lessons learned.
You will be among the first to engage with the problem, assemble your team and lead them through the stages of structured problem solving.
- You will throughout the process manage stakeholders at all levels of the organization, ensuring a consistent and relevant information flow.
- You will ensure the team knows what to do and that the actions taken really contains the problem, and that the corrective actions are effective.
- You will ensure tracking of associated costs to enable cost recovery
- While not engaged in problem solving you will run strategic continuous improvement initiatives involving both improvements at supplier, but also improvement of how HVDC interact and collaborate with suppliers
- The role requires travelling to suppliers for solving quality issues, quality process developments and inspection of components and products.
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Production Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in applying structured problem solving using methods such as 8D, DMAIC, PDCA and experience in applying related tools
- To be successful in this role, you must be an excellent communicator who thrives in contexts ranging from supplier's production environment to executive meeting rooms.
- Green Belt certification or equivalent is mandatory, black belt is preferred.
- Experience from project management or certification is an advantage
- Ability to work in cross functional and global team environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated technical attitude and a passion for quality.
- Excellent English skills, both written and verbally.
