What challenge do we offer?
Within the technology stream Vehicle Motion and Thermal Management, we lead the development of complete vehicle motion, -energy and -thermal control solutions and functionalities for safe, sustainable, and efficient transportation.
We are now looking for a Verification Engineer with specializing within the domain of Vehicle Motion Control. You will be part of the Performance & Prediction Team leading the development of software for Traction control functions. We strongly believe that having fun at work is one important enabler for high performance and encourages us to take ownership of our product.
As Verification Engineer for traction, you will be an E2E responsible and key person in ensuring that traction functions can offer a consistent solution in both the T2 and T3 platforms. Collaborative effort involves working alongside colleagues in Vehicle Motion Management and closely partnering with other departments like Powertrain, Vehicle Software Factory and Complete Vehicle feature leaders for field testing, etc. From ECU development development to IT Infrastructure & release to customer verification.
You work in close cooperation with the Product Owner, End User Function Owner for Traction and Epic owner in the Vehicle Motion Management domain. You will be responsible for use cases and requirements to build the end to end Traction end user function including the execution plan needed for supporting software introductions to market.
Key responsibilities
* Responsibility for quality assuring the future business needs, covering product development, customer verification and aftermarket.
* Driving development of E2E test cases and test plan according to V&V model
* Defining and validating the test environments including MIL, SIL, HIL and actual trucks/vehicles
* Performing log analysis and draw conclusions of delivered test results along withe the function developers and Product owner
* Finding the root cause for end-to-end level issues.
* Securing quality to release SW with confidence
* Make data driven decision and approve sw for relavant release eg. Sw recommended to be used in the truck for driving inside the fence or out on public roads
Key attributes
* Verification: Responsible for preparing the test environment for the verification activities to be performed. Perform regression verification according to software release plan.
* Collaboration: Ensure the required information is gathered for the verification activities to be performed properly. Likewise, provide feedback to concerned stakeholders on relevant information observed during verification activities.
* Documentation: Prepare reports to concerned stakeholders summarizing the findings throughout the verification activities.
* Problem Solving: Be curious, pro-active, look for root cause as an extra-mile.
* Continuous Improvement: Observe opportunities for improvement in the verification way of working. Stay updated on the latest automative verification methodologies, tools, and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
Who are you?
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in verification or validation within the automotive sector.
* Hands-on experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
* Experience with verification tools (ex: CANoe, CANalyzer, or similar).
* Experience with writing test cases based on requirements.
* Experience with requirement based testing and exploratory testing.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality and safe products.
To be able to succeed in this role you should have experience with the following areas:
* End user function testing at SIL, HIL and Vehicle
* SW deployment services at aftermarket and/or production
* CAN, LIN, J1939, UDS protocol
* CANalyzer/CANOE environment, dSpace, ASM, GSP, Configuration management
* C license is a merit
Knowledge within the area of Cybersecurity and Functional safety is appreciated.
