Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Coffee, Chocolate & Cocoa Specialist with expertise in both coffee and chocolate to join our Coffee & Chocolate Team. In addition to managing daily operations, customer service, and sales, you will be responsible for purchasing green coffee beans and assisting in chocolate tasting. This role requires a strong understanding of both industries, and candidates must hold relevant certifications in coffee and chocolate.

You will ensure that our high standards of quality are met, while also creating an inviting atmosphere for customers to enjoy our specialty products. Your responsibilities will include overseeing inventory, managing the boutique, training staff, and curating our selection of coffee beans and chocolate.

Key Responsibilities:

- Barista and Cocoa Specialist: Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and chocolate-based beverages while managing the daily operations of the area.

- Green Coffee Bean Purchasing: Take charge of sourcing and purchasing high-quality green coffee beans from selected suppliers.

- Chocolate Tasting and Quality Control: Assist in the tasting and quality assessment of our chocolate products, ensuring that all offerings meet our premium standards.

- Customer Engagement: Deliver excellent customer service, educate clients about our products, and provide personalized recommendations.

- Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Oversee stock levels, manage the supply chain for both coffee and chocolate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

- Team Leadership: Train and supervise staff to ensure consistency in service, beverage preparation, and product presentation.

- Merchandising: Manage the boutique’s visual merchandising, ensuring an appealing display of coffee, chocolate, and related products.

- Sales and Upselling: Promote and sell our curated selection of coffee and chocolate products, driving sales by highlighting seasonal and specialty offerings.

- Compliance: Ensure that health, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently met in both the café and boutique areas.

Required Skills and Expertise:

- Coffee Expertise: SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) Certification is required.

- Chocolate Expertise: At least Level II certification in IICCT (International Institute of Chocolate and Cacao Tasting) is required.

- Purchasing Experience: Previous experience in sourcing and purchasing green coffee beans.

- Chocolate Tasting: Strong understanding of chocolate tasting and the ability to assess flavor profiles for quality control.

- Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.

- Retail and Inventory Management: Experience in managing retail operations, including inventory management and product merchandising.

- Sales Skills: Ability to drive sales through product knowledge and upselling techniques.

- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead, train, and manage a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and product quality.

Qualifications:

- SCA Certification in coffee brewing and preparation is required.

- IICCT Level II Certification in chocolate tasting is required.

- Previous experience in the specialty coffee and chocolate industry is highly preferred.

- Experience in green coffee sourcing and chocolate product assessment.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Fluency in English & Spanish (Basic Swedish ideal)

- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
