Volvo The Global Headquarters for Volvo Financial Services is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer senior level to continuously improve the build, release, security, and monitoring of the digital products created by Volvo Financial Services Global D&IT What you will do As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will work closely with digital product managers, software engineers, agile coaches, and stakeholders to continuously improve the security, reliability, and time to market of our digital products. Your starting point will be to, together with your colleagues at VFS and in the broad cross-functional network at the Volvo Group, take responsibilities in the following areas: * Partner with the development team to oversee and facilitate code releases or deployments with CI/CD pipelines. * Drive continuous improvement by structuring and optimizing release cycles and introduce new ways to move the process along (new software, for example). * Monitor the production environment and provide feedback to reduce ‘time to detect’ (TTD) and ‘time to minimize’ (TTM) the errors. * Drive and implement DevOps best practices using Automation tools, Source Code Control, Containerization, Configuration Management tools, Repository Management Software and Project Management tools. * Implement a security-focused DevOps (DevSecOps) practice to include security as part of regular work with the automation of key processes, release schedules and infrastructure design. * Manage risk and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality. * Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations. * Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates. * Research new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyze their application to current configuration management needs. Your future team You will report directly to the VFS Global D&IT Software Engineering Chapter Lead.  In many of our markets, VFS has won the Great Place to Work award, where Great Work is done. The preferred location is Gothenburg, Sweden where we are establishing our new Global Hub; alternative location is Poland.   Who are you? We believe the successful candidate feels passionate about technology and software quality and has an effective level of ambition and ability to understand team and corporate objectives, demonstrates superior verbal and interpersonal communication skills as well as ability handling confidential information and working with a high level of integrity and ethics.  Qualifications likely required to be successful in this role include: * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. * 5+ years of working experience preferably in the change and release management area or project management area. * Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps. * Experience with infrastructure as code such as Terraform, Ansible, MS Azure Bicep, etc. * Microsoft Azure certifications a plus. * Structured thinking * Experience managing scalable and high-performance services. * Strong communication skills to work with global multicultural teams, English required. * Expert in understanding software development lifecycle. Automotive and/or financial banking industry experience preferred. What’s in it for you?
